Terms of Use

1. Ownership of content

All original material on this site is owned by Ember Terrace or licensed to us. That includes article text, buying guides, comparisons, verdicts, our confidence scoring framework, page structure, layouts, graphics, and the Ember Terrace name and logo.

Third-party product names, brand names, logos and trade marks referenced on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively only.

2. What you may do

• Read, browse, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
• Share a link to any page of this site, on social media or anywhere else.
• Quote a short extract — up to roughly 50 words — provided you attribute it to Ember Terrace and include a working link to the source page.
• Reference our findings in your own writing, in your own words, with attribution.

3. Prohibited uses

Without our prior written permission, you must not:

• Reproduce or republish our content. Copying articles, comparison tables, verdicts or substantial extracts onto another website, newsletter, PDF, social channel, or printed publication is not permitted, whether or not you credit us.
• Use our content commercially. You may not sell, license, syndicate, or otherwise commercially exploit any part of this site, or incorporate it into a paid product, course, or service.
• Scrape or access the site by automated means. Crawlers, bots, scrapers, harvesting scripts, and bulk downloading tools are prohibited, including for the purpose of compiling datasets or training machine learning models.
• Create derivative or spun content. Rewriting, paraphrasing at scale, translating, or machine-generating content from our pages to compete with or replace them is prohibited.
• Frame, mirror, or hotlink. You may not present our pages inside your own site’s frame, mirror them at another address, or hotlink our images or files.
• Misrepresent the relationship. You may not imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation with Ember Terrace where none exists.
• Interfere with the site. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or test its security, introduce malicious code, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
• Remove attribution. You may not strip copyright notices, credits, or disclosure statements from any material taken from this site.

4. Licensing and permission requests

We consider reasonable requests to republish or license our content. Write to legal@emberterrace.com with the specific pages involved, the intended use, and where the material would appear. Permission granted for one use is not permission for any other.

5. Copyright complaints and DMCA notices

We respect intellectual property rights and expect the same in return. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@emberterrace.com including all of the following.

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The exact URL on emberterrace.com where the material appears.
• Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We review valid notices promptly and will remove or disable access to infringing material. We also accept counter-notices from anyone who believes material was removed in error.

6. Reporting misuse of our content

If you find our articles, tables, or verdicts republished elsewhere without permission, we would like to know. Send the URL to legal@emberterrace.com.

7. Enforcement

We may block access, issue takedown requests, or pursue any remedy available in law against anyone breaching these terms. Failure to enforce a term on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.

8. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
